Tea Party Spokesman Calls NAACP “racist organization”

In a new low in their fight against being labeled as racists, a spokesman for the Tea Party Express asserted that it was not his organization that was racist, but rather the NAACP that was. On CNN, Mark Williams said:

“Racists have their own movement. It’s called the NAACP.” Williams goes on to call the NAACP: “a bunch of old fossils looking to make a buck off skin color.”

I don’t detect any racism in that at all. I think it’s perfectly normal to see an organization like the NAACP as an opportunistic group. They’re just hanging around making money off of American’s racism. Or not.

The only other thing the Tea Party could do to make themselves more blatantly racist would be to begin wearing robes and calling their leaders “Imperial Wizard.”
