U2 News: Joining Letterman for a Whole Week
March 2 – 6 U2 will be the musical guest on David Letterman. They’ve got an album to promote which doesn’t impress me as being nearly as good as the last two, but they can’t be perfect all the time.
Blagojevich On Letterman
In an interview this evening, David Letterman talked to disgraced politician Rod Blagojevich about his impeachment and pressed him on his rampant media appearances. He told the ex-Governor: “The more you talked and the more you repeated your innocence, the more I thought, ‘oh this guy’s guilty.’”
Blagojevich insisted he was falsely accused and said he was denied the right to prove his innocence during his impeachment hearing.

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich told David Letterman he keeps thinking he’ll wake up and people will realize “this is just one big misunderstanding.” The ousted governor showed up Tuesday for a taping of CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman.” He laughed with the audience when Letterman mentioned watching him on several television talk shows.Letterman joked that the more Blagojevich talked and repeated his claims of innocence, the more the host said to himself, “Oh, this guy is guilty.”
The Illinois Senate convicted Blagojevich last week of abuse of power. He also faces federal charges including allegations he tried to profit from selling President Barack Obama’s U.S. Senate seat.
The interview got off to a rather colorful start when Letterman asked Blagojevich point blank “Why exactly are you here, honest to God?” In another highlight, Blagojevich told Letterman: “Well, I’m looking for work. Are you hiring?”
